This position is part of a pioneering initiative in the ACT Education Directorate schools. A team of dedicated professionals will be working together to trial and refine a school-based Social Work delivery model, focusing on providing services at various levels. The successful applicant will be an integral part of this pilot project, contributing to the development and implementation of the service model.

The role involves working closely with school staff to maintain and implement appropriate support for students with ongoing needs. This may include collaborating with teachers, counselors, and other education professionals to ensure a comprehensive approach to student support. Additionally, the successful applicant will be responsible for using data to assess the effectiveness of the model and making recommendations for improvements.

**Key Requirements:**

  • Tertiary qualifications in Social Work
  • A minimum of three years of experience, or equivalent
  • Membership with the Australian Association of Social Workers, or eligibility for membership
  • Current drivers license essential, including access to a private vehicle for work purposes

**Desirable Qualifications:**

  • Relevant experience in education or a related field
  • Comprehensive knowledge of youth services and programs in the ACT, and established connections within the community sector

This role is based in Canberra, with relocation reimbursement available for interstate applicants. Please note that this is a temporary position available immediately for a period of 12 months, with potential for permanency.
