Capacity Engineer Role

We are seeking a skilled Capacity Engineer to join our operations team in the APAC region. This exciting opportunity involves working with a growing department, playing an increasingly important role for our operations teams and customer base.

Your Key Responsibilities
  • Acknowledge and process requests for hub deployments, escalating advanced or complex requests to senior members as necessary
  • Participate actively and contribute within meetings with internal stakeholders such as Operations Engineers and Sales Engineers
  • Develop process designs for deployments and seek to directly resolve issues where possible, or escalate to relevant colleagues as required
  • Work on more complex/large proposed designs with Manager or Senior Engineers within the capacity team
  • Develop key solutions for sales opportunities seeking input from relevant parties or places, including intranet, Hub Lead or colleagues
  • Ensure cooling support through airflow calculations or escalating for CFD modeling as necessary
  • Ensure power support (including circuit management) through infrastructure checks
  • Escalating HPD deployment where necessary
  • Ensure design fit within data centers, and triage or escalate concerns where adverse impacts to colocation or density or sellable space may occur
  • Escalate any issues/constraints around site infrastructure to DA&E team
  • Responsible for updating CAD drawings for Proposed Designs and deployments
  • Resolve any deployment issues (cabinets/cages) where physical deployment differs from virtual records
  • Work to resolve any complex DQM issues, and create USID and associated inventory objects
  • May work with regional peers and AP project team to fulfill any capacity or customer-related obligations
  • Answer general inventory/infrastructure-related questions for stakeholders or escalate to senior team members, this includes any requests coming in centrally from our hub queue that falls out of scope for different teams
Requirements
  • Engineering degree in electrical, mechanical or related field
  • Strong technical mindset and ability to work through complex and highly technical solutions
  • Key understanding of power and cooling in data centers, or from varied industries where skillset and experience are transferrable
  • Excellent communication skills, including ability to work with internal and external stakeholders from geographically and culturally different backgrounds
  • High attention to details, CAD experience, and ability to attain and maintain complex information
