Empathetic Peer Support Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and empathetic Peer Support Worker to join our healthcare team. As a lived experience expert, you will work collaboratively with clinical team members to provide individualized support and education to consumers, carers, and families managing persistent pain.
The successful candidate will be a positive role model, providing valuable insights into the lived experience of managing persistent pain and supporting service providers and non-government organizations. They will also work closely with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander consumers to develop a deeper understanding of self-management treatment approaches.
Key responsibilities include:
- Serving as a source of information on the lived experience of managing persistent pain
- Providing one-to-one peer connections and practical assistance drawing on your own lived/living experience
- Collaborating with clinical team members to support all facets of care for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander consumers
