Role Overview

The Senior Policy Adviser will play a pivotal role in providing strategic policy advice to the Public Policy and Advocacy Team.

This is an exciting opportunity to work on both capital markets regulation and the adoption of new technology in managing critical financial market infrastructure.

The successful candidate will have experience in senior roles providing regulatory and public policy advice, with a strong understanding of the Australian regulatory landscape and familiarity with international frameworks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Engaging with stakeholders, including policy makers, regulators, and industry groups, to build relationships and inform policy positions
  • Developing and communicating policy positions that support organisational strategic objectives, including drafting submissions in response to Government consultations
  • Performing complex regulatory and public policy analysis, with a focus on delivering solutions that are consistent with company-wide positions
  • Working closely with internal stakeholders across the business, including senior management, to develop policy positions and ensure they are commercially practical and operationally sound
Requirements
  • 8-10 years' experience in senior roles providing regulatory and public policy advice
  • Experience in financial markets and services
  • Degree qualified in economics/commerce/legal discipline, with strong academic and professional qualifications
  • Exceptional written communication skills, with the ability to understand and synthesise complex ideas and issues
