This role involves working in various sectors of the trade, gaining exposure to different types of floor coverings and developing skills in direct, planning, and coordination.

Duties:

  • Installation of floor coverings, including carpet, timber, laminate, and resilient flooring.
  • Directing, planning, and coordinating installations, ensuring adherence to health and safety guidelines.
  • Maintaining cleanliness and housekeeping on the jobsite.
  • Managing stock levels and performing regular stock takes.
  • Preparing floor covering for installation and managing deliveries at the warehouse.
  • Carrying out ad-hoc tasks as requested by supervisors.

Requirements:

  • Punctuality during specified working hours.
  • Installing floor coverings according to Australian Standards and manufacturer's instructions.
  • Ensuring customer satisfaction with installed floor coverings.
  • Maintaining a safe working environment and adhering to OH&S requirements.
  • Maintaining accurate paperwork records and good relationships with colleagues and customers.
