Job Summary

The Payroll Advisor role is a key position within our organisation, responsible for delivering high-quality payroll services to staff. The successful candidate will have experience in end-to-end payroll processing, preferably in a large high-volume environment.


Main Responsibilities
  • Pays Processing: Conduct end-to-end processing of pays for a nominated group of employees in line with documented systems and procedures.
  • Time Data Management: Action all time data, payroll changes, authorised deductions and other related activities before the close of the pay run where practicable.
  • Payment and Reporting: Assist with payment of PAYG tax and End of Financial Year (EOFY) activities, as well as prepare payroll reports to meet internal and statutory obligations.
  • Employee Records: Maintain all employee records relevant to core payroll activities to the required standard.
  • Superannuation and Leave: Provide details of superannuation and portable long service leave contributions processed through payroll to the appropriate body.
  • Cessation of Employment: Process cessations of employment in line with statutory requirements.

Requirements
  • At least three years' recent experience in end-to-end payroll processing, preferably in a large high-volume environment.
  • Experience using Aurion Payroll.
  • Solid understanding of internal controls and risk minimisation as it relates to payroll activities.
  • Demonstrated ability to interpret industrial instruments and organisational policies relating to payroll functions.
  • Excellent verbal, interpersonal and written communication skills; including the ability to apply legislation and policy with tact, diplomacy and assertiveness.
