Job Title: Health and Safety Manager
The Organisation is a high-profile, market-leading FMCG company home to a portfolio of well-known brands. With a significant operational footprint across Australia and New Zealand, they are deeply committed to the safety, wellbeing, and ongoing development of their people.
The Role:
As a key member of the site leadership team and managing a small team, you'll play a crucial role in strengthening the safety culture, driving environmental initiatives, and ensuring that every team member returns home safely each day. To do this effectively, you'll need to lead the design and execution of site-specific Health, Safety & Environment plans in alignment with national strategy. This will involve championing a pragmatic, hands-on approach to safety, embedding best practices into daily operations, staying ahead of legislative changes, and leading meaningful incident investigations and risk assessments that result in real impact.
Key Responsibilities:

- Stay ahead of legislative changes and ensure the site is not just compliant but setting industry benchmarks.
- Lead meaningful incident investigations and risk assessments that result in real impact.
- Deliver engaging, practical training and drive safety awareness at every level across sites.
- Monitor, analyse, and report on HSE performance, turning data into action.
- Act as a trusted advisor to site leaders, influencing and coaching to build visible HSE leadership.
- Support workers' compensation and injury management with a focus on early intervention and a human-first approach.
About You:
- You should have proven experience in a similar HSE leadership role within a manufacturing environment.
- You should have a strong operational understanding of safety and environmental management, with a proactive, collaborative approach to building relationships across all levels.
- You should be a skilled communicator and natural influencer, able to engage, inspire, and take people on the journey.
- You should have in-depth knowledge of relevant HSE legislation, regulations, and standards.
- You should be a confident coach and mentor, passionate about uplifting capability across operational teams.
- You should have experienced in leading change and introducing new initiatives in fast-paced environments.
