About this Opportunity

Join a dynamic team in Australia's leading manufacturer of windows, doors, and screens. As a Toolmaker, you'll play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of machinery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manufacture Press tools, jigs, fixtures, and one-off components to support production needs.
  • Examine faulty machinery for defects and remove damaged parts for repair.
  • Perform regular emergency repairs of metal parts of machinery & equipment.
  • Maintain sufficient levels of inventory to support all tool maintenance activities.
  • Routine maintenance program for all tools to ensure optimal performance.
  • Read and interpret technical drawings to inform design decisions.
  • Optimise tooling processes for improved manufacturing productivity.
  • Collaborate with teams on innovative tooling methods.
  • Provide technical support to ensure smooth production.

Requirements:

  • Trade Qualified Toolmaker or similar trade qualification.
  • Dedicated to safety and maintaining high-quality products.
  • Welding & fabrication experience - preferred.
  • Proficient in reading technical drawings and specifications.
  • Extensive knowledge of press tooling, processes, and technologies.
  • Extensive knowledge in designing press and forming tooling.
  • Sound knowledge of engineering and production processes.
  • Able to work effectively as part of a small team to meet objectives.
