As an aircraft maintenance engineer, you play a crucial role in ensuring the airworthiness of military aircraft. Your responsibilities will include performing scheduled and unscheduled maintenance activities, inspecting and maintaining avionic systems, and repairing sheet metal and composite materials.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Mechanical AMEs: You will be responsible for hydraulic, environmental, pneumatic, and propulsion systems, as well as related system components and propellers.
  • Avionic AMEs: Your tasks will include maintaining, inspecting, and undertaking fault diagnosis of avionic systems and components on fixed and rotary wing aircraft.
  • Structures AME: You will be responsible for producing, maintaining, and repairing sheet metal, bonded, and non-metallic composite material and components on the aircraft.
  • Armament AMEs: Your duties will involve maintaining the emergency escape system, egress systems, and aircraft weapon systems from the computers on board to the stores and load the aircraft carries.
About You:
  • Hold a Certificate IV in Aeroskills or recognised training (mandatory).
  • You must be an Australian citizen with the ability to obtain a Federal Government Security Clearance (mandatory).
  • Experience or a strong interest in working with Defence Military Aircraft is required.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential.
  • Ability to deliver work within a fast-paced team environment is necessary.
