Developing Seafood Capabilities

This role is focused on building and implementing a comprehensive seafood strategy to enhance the customer experience in our grocery store deli teams.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver hands-on training to store managers, deli managers, and deli team members on seafood species, merchandising standards, product handling, food safety, and customer service excellence.
  • Monitor and support adherence to retailer standards, ensuring consistent execution of merchandising, pricing, and promotional activities.
  • Analyse sales data to identify performance opportunities and implement targeted initiatives to drive commercial outcomes.
  • Foster strong relationships with store managers and deli teams to influence positive results and encourage collaboration.
  • Utilise CRM and reporting tools to document store visits, track training outcomes, and highlight sales opportunities.
Requirements:
  • A background in retail or deli operations, preferably within the seafood or fresh categories.
  • Effective trainer and coach with excellent communication and relationship building skills.
  • Commercial acumen with the ability to analyse sales trends and identify growth opportunities.
  • Professional, resilient, and adaptable in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, CRM experience preferred.
