About the Role

The Department of Education, Western Australia is seeking a highly skilled and experienced leader to fill the position of Principal at Wandina Primary School. As a key member of the school community, the successful applicant will be responsible for establishing and maintaining a positive and inclusive school culture that promotes academic excellence and supports the social and emotional development of students.

The Principal will lead the implementation of evidence-based teaching and learning programs, foster a culture of innovation and creativity, and build strategic networks with other schools and local agencies to benefit school programs. The successful applicant will possess excellent interpersonal and public relations skills, a strong understanding of leading a culturally responsive school, and a commitment to continuous school improvement.

Wandina Primary School is a vibrant and inclusive community that serves 476 students and their families. The school is committed to the Midwest Targeted Teaching Program and has developed extensive programs to support all students, including those with complex needs and students with a disability.

Selection Criteria

  • Proven experience in leading a school community and implementing evidence-based teaching and learning programs
  • Excellent interpersonal and public relations skills, with the ability to build strategic networks with other schools and local agencies
  • A strong understanding of leading a culturally responsive school and a commitment to continuous school improvement
