Overview of the Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled Heavy Duty Diesel Mechanic / HD Fitter to provide breakdown, service and planned maintenance support on Hitachi equipment.

  • Perform onsite repairs on a wide range of Hitachi machines
  • Attend to site breakdowns within Port Hedland and surrounding areas
  • Undertake diagnostic work to identify and resolve technical issues
  • Liaise with customers in the territory to build strong relationships and deliver excellent customer service
  • Work closely with internal technical support staff to achieve successful maintenance outcomes

  • Embody our safety culture, ensuring safety takes priority over everything else
  • Hold relevant Australian (or Australian recognized) mobile plant trade qualifications
  • Have experience, knowledge and understanding of civil and mining equipment
  • Display a strong work ethic and ability to work autonomously in remote areas
  • Possess good communication and customer service skills, with the ability to build long-term relationships
  • Have great technical knowledge and diagnostic ability, with excellent technical knowledge of Hitachi mining equipment being highly advantageous
