About the Role:
Kapitol Group is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Contract Administrator to join our team. As a key member of our procurement and administration department, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth execution of our construction projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with the procurement of materials and services across various projects, including delivery to site.
- Draft and review subcontract documentation to ensure compliance with company policies and industry standards.
- Develop and administer trade packages scope of work, including tendering and negotiation processes.
- Assess quotes and provide recommendations to stakeholders on tender price comparisons.
- Respond to on-site requests from site teams and manage client and subcontractor RFIs.
- Obtain and assess trade variations, and assist with the preparation of head contract variation submissions.
- Provide regular updates to project managers on letting and vetting activities.
- Manage and track project expenditure, and prepare monthly reports for stakeholders.
- Programme and system management, including reviews for compliance, accuracy, efficiency, and improvements.
- Determine supply costs from new and existing suppliers, and manage data entry and general administration tasks.
- Assist in upskilling project managers on commercial aspects of a project, and mentor contract administrators, graduates, cadets, and new starters.
About You:
- A genuine passion for the construction industry and a strong understanding of contract administration principles.
- Tertiary qualified in construction management or a related discipline, with a minimum of 7 years of contract administration experience in a Tier 1 or Tier 2 environment.
- Experience in a contract administration role on multiple $50M+ projects, with a proven track record of delivering results in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience mentoring and coaching junior team members, with a focus on developing their skills and knowledge.
- Proficiency in JOB PAC and MS Suite, with a strong understanding of agile thinking and the ability to identify opportunities for improvement.
- Confidence and demonstrated capability in negotiation, with strong communication skills and the ability to convey complex issues with clarity and ease.
- A meticulous eye for detail and outstanding record-keeping skills, with the ability to work well in both autonomous and team environments.
