Job Title: Cancer Policy SpecialistWe are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our team as a Cancer Policy Specialist. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about proactively supporting people with rare and less common cancers.This role will play a critical part in shaping and delivering our policy and advocacy strategy. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing evidence-based policy positions, engaging with key stakeholders, and representing us at meetings and public forums.The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of cancer policy, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with our team and external partners.We offer a supportive and dynamic work environment, opportunities for professional development, and a competitive salary and benefits package.Key Responsibilities:
  • Policymaking and Advocacy: Develop and deliver evidence-based policy positions, including research and analysis. Engage with people affected by rare and less common cancers and collaborate with key stakeholders to increase awareness and drive change.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain relationships with government representatives, policymakers, and relevant stakeholders. Represent us at meetings and public forums and provide briefing and support for our Leadership Team.
  • Project Management: Apply project management techniques to manage work and collaboration on cross-organisational projects.
Requirements:
  • Educational Background: A degree in a related field, such as health policy, public health, or a related discipline.
  • Experience: Significant experience in cancer policy, advocacy, or a related field.
  • Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
