Risk Management Leader

RSM Australia is seeking an experienced Risk Management Leader to join their Canberra team. As a key member of the Risk Advisory Services team, you will play a critical role in delivering innovative solutions to government clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage internal audit, control assurance, and risk management engagements, ensuring high-quality deliverables within budget and deadlines.
- Lead the risk team, providing on-the-job training, mentoring, and guidance on methodology compliance.
- Understand independence rules and ensure staff adhere to ethical standards, referring any issues to partners.
- Review audit team work, draft reports for partners, and provide practical recommendations.
- Summarize key engagement areas for partners and finalize draft reports for review.
Requirements:
- Professional qualifications such as CA, CIA, CISA, or equivalent.
- Bachelor's Degree in finance, accounting, public administration, or technology.
Demonstrated Experience & Attributes:
Essential:
- Over 5 years' experience in Professional Services or risk advisory and internal audit.
- Australian citizenship and government clearance or ability to obtain one.
- Strong client-centric focus and experience delivering projects on time and budget.
- Management of client portfolios.
