Recreational Activities Officer Job

Job Description:

The Organisation is seeking a Recreational Activities Officer to join our team at Murray Vale in the Riverina Murray Region. This permanent part-time opportunity includes weekend work and offers a chance to make a positive impact on residents' health and wellbeing.

As the Recreational Activities Officer, you will drive energy, engagement, and participation of residents into social, recreational, and cultural activities. You will also lead mental health and wellbeing programs that empower residents' choices and independence.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Ability to plan, organise, and lead activities that meet social and recreational needs while promoting independence and quality of life.
- Assess and document program effectiveness by tracking residents' progress and making necessary changes.
- Minimum Certificate IV in Leisure and Lifestyle.
- Senior First Aid Certificate (desirable).
- Previous experience within an aged care setting.
- Highly developed organisation and time management skills.
- Problem-solving skills and excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Understanding of Resident Rights, Aged Care Accreditation Standards and Outcomes.
- Computer skills in Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, Power Point, internet/intranet skills, email communication, and confidence with smart phones and digital devices.
- Knowledge of Work Health and Safety.
