Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Electrical Estimator to prepare accurate contract value estimates and cost plans for various tenders and engineering studies.

  • Review requests for proposals and tenders, contributing to the development of efficient and cost-effective pricing for tender responses.
  • Develop and implement first principle estimates, ensuring accuracy and suitability.
  • Collate material take-offs and job costs into clear, well-structured spreadsheets or databases.
  • Analyse benchmarks and historical costs to inform estimate preparation.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Establish and maintain relationships with suppliers and industry bodies to leverage new materials, techniques, and methodologies.
  • Ensure relevant documents, deliverables, and reports are submitted within the bid deadline.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align estimate, methodology, and schedule.
  • Participate in tender reviews with senior management, adjusting costings as required.
Requirements:
  • Degree qualified with significant on-the-job experience.
  • Experience with database estimating packages.
  • Demonstrated ability to prepare accurate first-principle estimates and proposals within strict deadlines.
  • Minimum 4+ years' experience in an estimating role, preferably within the Energy and Resources sector.
