Nurse Manager

The State of Queensland is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Nurse Unit Manager to lead and support the multidisciplinary team at the BreastScreen Unit. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for providing specialist advice, nursing care, and counselling regarding breast cancer screening and diagnosis to clients, staff, and other stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities- Provide leadership and management to the BreastScreen Unit team, ensuring cost-effective, efficient, and evidence-based service provision.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve breast cancer screening and diagnosis outcomes, in accordance with BreastScreen Queensland Program guidelines.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless service delivery and high-quality patient care.
- Ensure compliance with National Safety and Quality Health Service Standards and other relevant regulations.
- Develop and maintain relationships with stakeholders, including clients, staff, and other healthcare providers.
- Current registration as a Registered Nurse through the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (APHRA).
- Demonstrated advanced clinical evidence-based skill and knowledge in breast cancer, cancer screening and diagnosis, counselling, service coordination, and interdisciplinary care management.
- Proven leadership and management experience in a healthcare setting.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Total remuneration value of up to $164,212 p.a., comprising an hourly rate between $72.58 p.h., 12.75% employer superannuation contribution, and 17.5% leave loading.
