This role offers the opportunity to provide high-quality medical care in a modern, well-equipped facility with a supportive, multidisciplinary team.
The successful candidate will work across outpatient and inpatient care settings to deliver primary medical care in line with professional standards and Defence policies.
As a Medical Officer / General Practitioner, you will assess fitness for duty and provide pre/post-deployment medical support, working collaboratively in a team environment.
A key focus of this role is providing defence-ready clinical and support staff to ensure Defence personnel have access to quality on-site medical care.
The ideal candidate will have unrestricted AHPRA registration as a Medical Practitioner, FRACGP, FACRRM, or Vocational Registration, and minimum 2 years' full time (or part time equivalent) GP experience in the last 5 years.
Key Responsibilities:- Deliver primary medical care in line with professional standards and Defence policies
- Work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team to support Defence personnel
- Assess fitness for duty and provide pre/post-deployment medical support
- Provide medical technical advice to Defence leadership
- Work across outpatient and inpatient care settings as needed
- Unrestricted AHPRA registration as a Medical Practitioner
- FRACGP, FACRRM, or Vocational Registration
- Minimum 2 years' full time (or part time equivalent) GP experience in the last 5 years
- Australian Citizen – for Baseline Security Clearance requirements
