Teaching Economist Position

This Casual Academic position is an excellent opportunity to contribute to the delivery of high-quality teaching and learning experiences for students in the School of Economics at The University of Queensland.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver tutorials and associated preparation, student consultation, and marking in various economics courses.
- Undertake non-contact duties related to tutorial delivery, including preparation, marking, and student consultation.
- Maintain a high level of performance on evaluations by students.
- Attend meetings, induction sessions, or required training sessions as necessary.
- Comply with legislation and University policy relevant to the duties undertaken.
- Adhere to sustainable practices in all work activities and comply with associated legislation and University policies.
The School of Economics is a leading provider of economics education in Australia and ranks among the top 50 economics departments worldwide for its research. With over 2753 domestic and international students, 17 professional staff, and 66 active teaching and research staff, the School offers a dynamic and collaborative environment.
Requirements- Candidates enrolled in specific undergraduate programs must have completed a minimum number of UQ ECON-coded courses and achieved a certain GPA.
- UQ PhD candidates are encouraged to apply without prior study requirements.
