Churner Role at Darling Square

Gelato production involves the art of churning fresh ice cream on a daily basis. This process requires a high level of skill and attention to detail.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining a clean and safe kitchen environment, monitoring stock levels, and ensuring a constant supply of gelato. They will also be required to assist with deliveries and support front-of-house service when needed.

We are seeking an individual who possesses excellent communication skills and can work effectively in a team. The ability to multitask and prioritize tasks is essential for this role.

Previous experience in busy environments, preferably in a kitchen or behind the bar, is highly desirable. However, we provide comprehensive training for those new to gelato production, so prior experience is not necessary.

The successful candidate will have energy, personality, and a willingness to learn. They must be able to work more than 20-25 hours per week and possess good English skills.

Key Tasks:
  • Churn fresh ice cream on a daily basis
  • Monitor stock levels and ensure a constant supply of gelato
  • Maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment
  • Assist with deliveries
  • Support front-of-house service when needed
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Working Holiday Visa holder, Australian citizen, or Permanent resident
  • Able to work more than 20-25 hours per week
  • Previous experience in busy environments, preferably in a kitchen or behind the bar
  • Good English skills
