We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Chess Instructor to deliver engaging lessons to children aged 5-12 at various childcare centres, primary schools, and high schools in South East Queensland. As a Chess Instructor, you will be responsible for teaching students the fundamental skills of chess, promoting problem-solving, cognitive thinking, and emotional intelligence.

The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate, entertain, and inspire children to learn chess. A passion for education and a willingness to learn and adapt to different teaching styles is essential.

No prior experience as a chess expert is required; however, previous tutoring or teaching experience, particularly with primary or high school students, is highly regarded. We provide comprehensive lesson plans, and our team will work with you to find classes that suit your schedule.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver fun and interactive chess lessons to children aged 5-12
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with students, parents, and teachers
  • Assist with administrative tasks, such as record-keeping and reporting
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Able to motivate and inspire children to learn
  • Ability to adapt to different teaching styles and environments
  • Previous tutoring or teaching experience (desired)
  • Working with Children Check (preferred)
  • Drivers Licence and regular access to a car (preferred)
