About the Role

This key position is responsible for coordinating all warehousing activities, including receiving and storing goods, processing shipments, and managing stock levels. The ideal candidate will have a strong emphasis on safety and compliance, with excellent leadership and supervisory skills.

  • Responsibilities:
  • Foster proactive communication of job status and workloads to departmental needs.
  • Manage warehouse staff, including supervisors and operational personnel, ensuring clear communication and effective handling of day-to-day operational issues.
  • Ensure adherence to company policies, load security protocols, and WHS regulations, maintaining a safe and compliant working environment.
  • Continuously review and improve warehouse processes to enhance operational efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Ensure warehouse stock is maintained with accuracy, through regular stock takes and reconciliations.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in a warehouse management role, preferably in the transport and logistics industry.
  • Strong emphasis on safety and compliance, you're proactive with identifying and managing hazards and risks.
  • Strong leadership and supervisory skills with the ability to manage a diverse team.
  • Excellent understanding of warehouse operations, including inventory management, compliance, and safety standards.
  • Ability to identify opportunities for process improvement and implement changes to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to build effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
