We are seeking a skilled nursing professional to join our small team in the Noosa region and Buderim clinic.

As a key member of our team, you will deliver best practice radiation oncology nursing services and play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care.

Responsibilities include:

  • Providing excellent patient care, ensuring patients' physical and psychological needs are met.
  • Undertaking direct patient care including education, wound management and medication administration as per clinical guidelines.
  • Effectively managing patients seen each day.
  • Facilitating effective communication with healthcare professionals and providing feedback regarding patients.
  • Ensuring all patient interaction is documented, communicated, and actioned.
  • Monitoring and maintaining procedures, protocols, practices, and clinical guidelines in line with best practice radiation oncology nursing standards.
  • Ensuring medication management protocols are followed.
  • Using ISBAR communication tool for handover of patients and communication with allied health services along with documentation.
  • Demonstrating reliability, motivation, and flexibility.

Requirements:

  • Current registration as a Registered Nurse.
  • Minimum 2 years postgraduate experience (preferred).
  • Background in oncology nursing (not essential) - training in radiation oncology nursing will be provided.
  • Exemplary interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to demonstrate empathy for all patients and their carers.
  • Well-developed analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Commitment to the application of best practice principles and quality improvement, including safety standards.
  • Commitment to continuing professional development.
  • Experience in wound care management.
