Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated nursing professional to lead our team on a maternity leave contract. You will have the opportunity to work across our Radiation Oncology Centre in the Noosa region and our central Sunshine Coast clinic in Buderim.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain high communication standards among nursing staff as an exemplary role model.
  • Develop and manage performance, as required, for the nursing team.
  • Conduct annual performance reviews for the nursing staff.
  • Support initiatives to improve culture, quality, efficiency, and effectiveness within the team.
  • Provide support to the Director of Nursing during leave periods.
  • Work with a multidisciplinary team to implement efficient centre workflows and evaluate continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Contribute to delivering a quality patient experience.
Requirements
  • Current Registration as a Nurse with AHPRA.
  • Clinical experience as a nurse – 3 years nursing, with at least 1 year oncology preferred.
  • Demonstrated clinical knowledge and ability to apply relevant legislation, guidelines, and standards.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with empathy for patients and their carers.
  • Well-developed analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Commitment to quality improvement and best practice principles, including the NSQHS.
  • Strong commitment to quality patient care.
  • Experience in leading a team and managing people effectively.
