
Healthcare Support Specialist

We are seeking experienced Health Care Assistants to join our team in the Newcastle-Maitland area. This is a great opportunity for individuals who are passionate about delivering high-quality care and support to our service users.
The successful candidate must have previous paid experience within Nursing/Residential homes, where they can demonstrate their ability to communicate effectively with service users, provide personal care, assist with daily living tasks, and maintain accurate records of service user conditions.
This role offers flexibility, with full or part-time hours available, allowing you to control your own schedule. We value work-life balance and strive to create a supportive environment that enables you to thrive in your role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Communicate effectively with service users, respecting their individual needs and preferences
- Provide personal care, including assistance with daily living tasks, such as bathing, dressing, and using the toilet
- Assist service users with mobility, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times
- Maintain accurate records of service user conditions, including observations, monitoring, and reporting any changes or concerns
- Contribute to a clean and safe living environment, maintaining high standards of housekeeping
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Prior experience in a similar role, demonstrating ability to deliver high-quality care and support
- Excellent communication skills, enabling effective interaction with service users, colleagues, and other stakeholders
- A basic understanding of personal care principles and practices
