About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Strategic Business Leader to join our Technology and Data division as a Business Manager. This is a key role that will play a pivotal part in delivering business and strategic outcomes, transformation and change initiatives, and coordinating activities and key projects aligned with our strategy.

Key Responsibilities
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of the division's strategic goals and business plan.
  • Influence, contribute to, and coordinate APRA-wide projects, playing a pivotal role in committees and leading change.
  • Lead the T&D executive office.
  • Ensure the division's risk profile is up to date, and all compliance obligations are met, and controls are in place to mitigate operational risk.
  • Assist the Executive Director with ensuring that all people-related activities are proactively managed, developing and tracking metrics to ensure the effective operational performance of the division.
  • Manage the division's finances in conjunction with the Finance Partner.
  • Responsibility for divisional-wide events, coordinating leadership team meetings, Exec secretariat, and driving divisional communication and training initiatives.
  • Build relationships with other divisional Business Managers and key regulatory and industry representatives to ensure alignment with APRA's strategic objectives.
About You

We are looking for a highly proactive and experienced individual with excellent organisational and leadership skills, and highly developed communication and leadership skills. You will have financial sector or similar experience, with a solid understanding of risk management and leading change, and the capacity to build working relationships quickly and influence at all levels of the organisation.

To be successful in this role, you will need to be an Australian citizen with eligibility to gain a Baseline Security clearance.
