About the Role:

Our team is seeking an experienced actuary to lead the development of pricing strategies for group insurance/reinsurance products.

The successful candidate will work closely with the Client and Reinsurance Solutions teams to provide expert actuarial input on product terms and conditions, ensuring that our offerings are competitive and aligned with market trends.

Maintaining accurate and up-to-date actuarial pricing models, including loss ratio models, credibility models, termination and profit share costing, is a critical aspect of this role.

To excel in this position, the ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of group insurance products and current market developments, as well as advanced actuarial modelling expertise and technical skills in MS Office.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Pricing and reviewing new business and renewals of group insurance/reinsurance
  • Providing actuarial input to the Client and Reinsurance Solutions teams
  • Maintaining actuarial pricing models
  • Staying up-to-date with market research and developments

Requirements:

  • A qualified actuary (FIAA or equivalent) with at least five years' experience in the Australian life insurance sector
  • In-depth knowledge of group insurance products and current market trends
  • Advanced actuarial modelling expertise and strong technical skills in MS Office—particularly advanced Excel
  • Demonstrated experience of sound actuarial judgment and problem-solving, excellent attention to detail, and a high level of accuracy
