About the Role

Datacom is seeking a highly skilled SOE Engineer to join our Endpoint Engineering team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing, building, supporting, and continuously improving end-user solutions end-to-end, enabling our customers to transform their business and modernize their end-user experience.

You will problem-solve technical issues for customers, demonstrating how our products can make businesses more productive, collaborative, and innovative. With a focus on ensuring an exceptional customer experience, you will manage the day-to-day operations of our customers' endpoint systems with minimal direction and engage in project work when required.

Key Responsibilities
  • Strong technical knowledge of Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager, including SCCM and Intune
  • Strong technical knowledge of Active Directory, including Group Policy Management
  • Strong technical knowledge of Azure Virtual Desktop and W365
  • Strong scripting ability, including PowerShell, VBScript, and Batch
  • Experience with Windows 10 task sequencing and endpoint configuration
  • Experience with facilitating large and enterprise-scale software deployments
  • Maintenance, upgrades, and enhancements of environment-wide configurations, including user policies, device policies, security policies, firmware, drivers, and automation scripts through enterprise-grade endpoint management platforms (Intune/SCCM)
  • 2 years' experience in Citrix Image Management, mandatory
  • Ensure outstanding levels of customer satisfaction by demonstrating timely, professional, and attentive responses to customers and colleagues
  • Operate in, and contribute to, the winning culture of a high-performing team
  • Identify service improvements, efficiencies, and/or cost reductions for Datacom customers
  • Follow best practice methodologies and adhere to recognized ITIL processes (e.g., change/release)
  • Perform upgrades on applicable hardware and operating systems as required/requested
  • Provide maintenance and enhancements of deployed desktop operating system images (physical and virtual)
  • Assist with projects as required
  • Minimum of 3+ years' experience in SOE migrations, projects, and implementation
  • Provide continuous high-quality upkeep of supporting documentation, such as designs, as-built, how-tos, environment reporting, risk registers, tickets, and roadmap lifecycles
What You Will Bring

You will have 5 years' IT industry experience, preferably within an IT managed service provider, with approximately 3 years' experience in a similar SOE Engineer role. You will possess exceptional knowledge of Windows 10, 11, and good working knowledge of networking and TCP/IP, AD, DHP, DNS, certificate services, and enterprise applications. You will have exceptional skills in endpoint management platforms, System Centre Configuration Manager, Intune, and Virtual Desktops. You will bring exceptional troubleshooting, customer service, communication, and prioritization skills, and be comfortable and able to work autonomously with minimal supervision. You will be comfortable with rapid change and be available to travel to Datacom, customer sites, and conferences when required.
