Project Manager - Construction Lead

As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in supporting the construction and project managers to ensure seamless integration into the define stage design, schedule, and estimating.

This is an exciting opportunity to work with cutting-edge technologies to offer a safer, cleaner, and more efficient future of mining. As a construction lead, your expertise will be instrumental in providing technical input on all construction-related activities to the define engineering and design process.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical input and guidance on construction execution strategy for assigned scope.
  • Develop organizational charts and resource plans for follow-on phases.
  • Lead construction input into define engineering development at local and global engineering centers.
  • Implement advanced work packaging processes for assigned scope that is integrated with the wider project process and system.
  • Develop modularization/pre-assembly approach and undertake studies and opportunities as required.
  • Assess construction risks and logistics at every stage of design and inputs into hazard identification and control studies.
  • Provide input to high-level management strategy development.
  • Attend critical engineering reviews such as model reviews/layout reviews etc.
  • Develop path of construction and construction block diagrams.

About You:

  • A recognized discipline background with significant management experience in the engineering construction industry.
  • The ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders involved in the project both verbally and in writing.
  • A methodical work ethic ensuring consistency in output.
  • Capable of working independently with extensive knowledge of project management systems and construction practices.
  • Demonstrable experience in similar roles or senior positions in construction management.
  • Extensive knowledge of the construction process, its implementation, and management.
