About this Role

We are seeking a dedicated General Practice Registrar to join our team in Cairns, delivering high-quality patient care across Far North Queensland.

This unique opportunity allows you to provide primary health care services to rural and remote communities, while developing your clinical skills and expertise.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver general practice services, including history taking, examination, decision-making, diagnostics ordering and interpretation, clinical procedures, specialist referrals, or secondary care admissions.
  • Provide clinical care of an acute or emergent patient, pending the attendance of retrieval services.
  • Collaborate with other care providers to ensure an integrated approach to patient care.
  • Participate in quality improvement activities, including clinical audits and case reviews.

Requirements:

  • Registration with AHPRA as a Medical Practitioner.
  • 3 years post-graduate experience.
  • RACGP - GPT 3 or above (at least 12 months community GP experience).
  • ACRRM - CGT 2 and above (with either 6/12 primary care OR 6/12 rural and remote practice OR completion of relevant AST).
