Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled construction lawyer to join our team in Sydney. As a front-end focused construction lawyer, you will work with experienced partners on a range of matters, including advising clients on the drafting of design and construct agreements, alliance agreements, contractor and subcontract agreements, joint venture agreements, and project agreements.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide advice on procurement methods and structures, the tender process, and probity
  • Draft associated documentation, including design and construct agreements, alliance agreements, contractor and subcontract agreements, joint venture agreements, and project agreements
  • Work with experienced front-end partners on a range of matters, including advising clients on the drafting of design and construct agreements, alliance agreements, contractor and subcontract agreements, joint venture agreements, and project agreements
  • Provide advice on procurement methods and structures, the tender process, and probity
  • Work with clients to understand their needs and provide tailored advice

Requirements:

  • Between 3 to 9 years' front-end and/or back-end construction experience from a leading law firm or an in-house team in Australia or another major construction and infrastructure heavy jurisdiction
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • A willingness to work across a number of partners
  • An ability to build strong client relationships
  • An ability to be flexible and efficient under pressure
