Underground Mining Assistant

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Underground Assistant to join our mining team at the Mineral Hill Gold Mine. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and safety-focused individual to work in a dynamic underground environment.

About the Role:

  • Assist the mining team in achieving daily targets
  • Work closely with underground operators to ensure smooth operation of the mine
  • Demonstrate excellent housekeeping standards
  • Deliver and pick up equipment and stores items as needed
  • Assist Jumbo Operators with bolting and meshing as required
  • Set up headings with bolts and mesh, and assist service crew when possible
  • Ensure all pre-starts are completed and arrive fit for work for all rostered days

About You:

  • Previous underground mining or nipper experience
  • Security Clearance (UHL) or ability to obtain
  • Focus on safety and ability to work safely and efficiently
  • Solid understanding of underground equipment, tools and safety practices
  • Experience operating an Integrated Tool Carrier
  • Working at Heights and Confined Space are desirable
  • Apply First Aid is an asset
  • Current manual driver's licence required
