Oncology Nursing Specialist

As a skilled Oncology Nursing Specialist, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and contributing to the dynamic team at Royal North Shore Hospital.

You will be working with patients requiring chemotherapy, bone marrow transplantation, radiotherapy, and blood product management. Your expertise will enable you to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality patient-centered care on Ward 8F.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing nursing care for oncology patients, including chemotherapy, bone marrow transplantation, radiotherapy, and blood product management.
  • Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver patient-centered care on Ward 8F.
  • Supporting and engaging with patients, families, and carers as part of the care team.

To excel in this role, you will require:

  • A Registered Nurse - Division 1 qualification with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) registration.
  • Current experience in an acute hospital environment.
  • Current clinical knowledge and clinical problem-solving ability.
  • Demonstrated effective interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively within a multi-disciplinary team.
