Civil Engineering Leadership Role

We are seeking an experienced Civil Engineer to lead our team and drive the success of our projects.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in civil engineering, with expertise in areas such as hydrology, hydraulics, road design, and pavement design.

They will be responsible for planning and conducting independent civil work, requiring judgment in the evaluation, selection, application, and adaptation of civil engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria.

  • Determine the appropriate use of various civil elements such as earthworks, pavement, rock, concrete, etc., to ensure material is used based on project requirements.
  • Originate and check complex civil engineering deliverables, such as calculations, specifications, and material requisitions.
  • Coordinate and interface with day-to-day technical work of personnel.

Key Responsibilities:

Leads the design, development, modification, and evaluation of civil components and processes utilizing relevant engineering department procedures (EDPs), design standards, and guides.

Reviews and approves key engineering drawings and calculations and bid summaries.

Designs structures using advanced knowledge of civil engineering principles and industry best practices.

Support preparation of estimates, staffing needs, and schedules.

Prepare or oversee preparation of discipline estimates and work plan in accordance with project scope, schedule, and budget.

Conduct or lead special studies of new civil engineering methods, materials, and techniques.

Mentor civil engineering personnel by providing on-the-job training for their professional development.
