About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Strategist to join our team at the NSW Government. As a key member of our Finance Branch, you will play a vital role in building and maintaining strong relationships with our business units across the Department of Creative Industries, Tourism, Hospitality and Sport.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide strategic advice to support financial strategy, compliance, and operational improvement
  • Collaborate closely with Senior Finance Business Partners and the Reporting and Insights teams
  • Identify emerging issues and drive financial performance
  • Ensure adherence to statutory requirements, policies, and best practices
  • Recommend and implement solutions to optimize fiscal outcomes and address challenges

About You

We are looking for a seasoned finance professional with a strong track record in influencing and guiding teams through complex financial environments. You will possess in-depth knowledge of the NSW Public Sector, including its financial management policies, processes, and regulatory requirements.

Requirements:

  • Tertiary qualifications in accountancy, economics, commerce, or finance
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a dynamic environment with shifting priorities

What We Offer

We offer a competitive salary range of $106,025 - $117,363 per annum plus superannuation. You will also have the opportunity to work in a dynamic and supportive team environment.
