Volunteer Social Visitor

Make a meaningful impact on the life of an older person by volunteering as a social visitor. Regular visits from volunteers can help improve quality of life and reduce feelings of isolation.

About the Role

We are seeking a caring and compassionate individual to visit an elderly client in their home. The client enjoys watching TV, taking care of their garden, and would love someone to visit for a cuppa and a chat.

As a volunteer, you will have the opportunity to bring joy to our clients and enhance their lives. You will be matched with a client who suits your availability and interests.

  • Visit clients at home for regular conversations and activities
  • Get to know our clients and learn about their interests and hobbies
  • Help improve the quality of life for older people in our community
Requirements

To be eligible for this role, you must:

  • Be 18 years or older
  • Hold a National Volunteer Police Check arranged and paid for by the organisation

Visits can be weekly to fortnightly depending on your availability. We'd be happy to discuss a suitable time during the week for a one-hour visit between 9am and 4pm Monday to Sunday.
