Your New Role

As an Accountant with Cutcher & Neale, you will work closely with senior team members and be supported by our generous study program as you grow into a Client Advisor role.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare individual tax returns, including business schedules and advanced capital gains calculations.
  • Compile financial statements with complete reconciliations of all accounts.
  • Handle leasing arrangements, accounting, taxation treatment, and associated schedules.
  • Navigate GST and FBT tax systems, completing Activity Statements and FBT returns.
  • Manage employee compliance frameworks, preparing payroll tax returns.
  • Understand and manage state taxes, including relevant forms and notices.
  • Review and action ATO correspondence with minimal supervision.
  • Communicate with clients to resolve queries and matters.
  • Review information for tasks, creating handover notes for delegation as needed.
  • Monitor WIP throughout job progress and ensure timely fee preparation.
Requirements
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in Accounting firms.
  • Progressing towards or completed Bachelor of Commerce (or equivalent) or CA qualification.
  • A passion for working collaboratively within a professional team.
  • Strong ability to meet deadlines with attention to detail.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
