Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Financial Analyst to join our dynamic team. As a key member of our accounting and advisory firm, you will be responsible for providing expert advice and support to clients across various industries and sizes.

The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in technical accounting principles and excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. They will also possess great communication skills and be able to articulate complex financial concepts in a clear and concise manner.

In this role, you will work closely with clients to understand and support their objectives, building lasting relationships and delivering exceptional results. You will also have the opportunity to mentor and support junior team members, fostering a culture of knowledge sharing and development.

Main Responsibilities
  • Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, ensuring precision and attention to detail.
  • Conduct in-depth financial analysis to support informed business decisions, driving growth and success.
  • Prepare tax returns and provide proactive tax planning advice to clients, enhancing their financial well-being.
  • Offer advisory services on business strategy, performance, and growth, helping clients achieve their goals.
  • Collaborate closely with clients to understand and support their objectives, building lasting relationships.
  • Mentor and support junior team members, fostering a culture of knowledge sharing and development.
  • Stay ahead of industry trends, standards, and compliance, ensuring we deliver exceptional results.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Degree-qualified in Accounting, with a strong foundation in technical accounting principles.
  • 3–5+ years' experience in business services, with a proven track record of delivering high-quality results.
  • Strong technical accounting knowledge and attention to detail, with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • A great communicator who builds lasting client relationships, with the ability to articulate complex financial concepts in a clear and concise manner.
  • Confident using accounting platforms like Xero, MYOB or similar, with a willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies.
  • Committed to personal growth and continuous improvement, with a desire to stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices.
