Technical Training Expert

What You'll Do:

  1. Develop comprehensive training strategies tailored to the mining sector, leveraging your expertise in technical operations and adult education.
  2. Create engaging technical documentation, training modules, installation and maintenance manuals, simulations, and assessments that meet industry standards.
  3. Deliver high-impact training sessions to diverse audiences, fostering a culture of safety and excellence.
  4. Partner with product, engineering, and field service teams to ensure training reflects current product capabilities and operational realities.
  5. Incorporate feedback from learners and stakeholders to continuously improve training effectiveness and align with organisational goals.
  6. Promote safe practices in the use and maintenance of Wabtec technologies, ensuring compliance with industry regulations and internal protocols.
  7. Coordinate global training schedules, logistics, and resource allocation to maximise efficiency and impact.

Who We Need:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, Mining, Education, or a related technical field.
  • Certificate IV in Training and Assessment.
  • Additional certifications in adult education or instructional design advantageous.
  • 5–10 years of experience in the mining industry, with a strong background in technical operations.
  • Proven experience in developing and delivering technical training programs.
  • Prior leadership or supervisory experience in training teams or technical staff.
  • Deep understanding of mining operations, equipment, and safety protocols.
  • Familiarity with Learning Management Systems (LMS) and e-learning platforms.
