Chief Financial Strategist

Role Overview

As the Chief Financial Strategist, you will lead the finance function, providing strategic financial guidance to stakeholders. You will ensure the company's financial preparedness for future growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Strategic Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A):
    • Develop and implement a robust strategic financial planning process that supports long-term growth.
    • This includes enhancing forecasting methodologies, scenario planning, and capital expenditure analysis to inform operating decisions.
  • Capital Allocation & Fundraising:
    • Optimize the company's capital structure and develop strategies for efficient capital allocation.
    • Successfully lead fundraising rounds, engaging effectively with potential investors and lenders.
  • Risk Management & Compliance:
    • Oversee the development and implementation of comprehensive financial risk management frameworks.
    • Ensure adherence to financial regulations, corporate governance standards, and internal controls.
  • Global Financial Operations & Scalability:
    • Enhance and automate global financial systems to support international expansion.
    • Identify and address internal control gaps, implementing scalable processes.
  • Tax Strategy & Optimization:
    • Develop a global tax strategy that minimizes liabilities while ensuring compliance.
  • Leadership & Team Development:
    • Provide leadership to the finance organization, fostering a culture of partnership and continuous improvement.
Requirements
  • At least 15 years experience in finance roles, with at least 5 years in a senior financial leadership position.
  • Experience in high-growth SaaS or tech-enabled businesses.
  • Extensive experience interacting with Boards, institutional investors, and lenders.
  • Experience preparing a company for an IPO or similar transactions.
  • Outstanding communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex concepts.
  • CPA or CFA qualification.
