The Government Procurement Counselor provides expert guidance to clients navigating government procurement processes.
Key responsibilities include:
- Client Consultation: Independent management of client portfolios, evaluation of complex issues, and provision of consultation services based on expertise.
- Professional Knowledge: Maintenance of expert knowledge in program policies, procedures, technology, and best practices related to business growth and management.
- Information Analysis / Decision Making: Assessment and resolution of client issues using financial information and other documentation.
- Communication: Promotion of the organization across the region, representation at meetings and conferences, and development of promotional materials.
- Program / Project Administration: Attention to detail, adherence to deadlines, maintenance of confidentiality, and completion of reports accurately and timely.
A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (preferably business) and one year of experience in the area of assignment; or an MBA. Preferred qualifications include experience in federal, state, and local governments contracting environments with medium-size businesses, as well as CFCM, CPCM, or APMP certifications.
