Job Title: Procurement Expert

The City of Stirling seeks a skilled Procurement Expert to join its Strategic Procurement and Contracts team. In this role, you will provide expert advice and support in the acquisition of goods and services, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements and best practices.

About the Position:

  • Engage with business units to provide consultancy on strategic sourcing practices.
  • Coordinate the development of tender/quotation and contract documents.
  • Ensure compliance with policy, procedures, and statutory requirements.
  • Manage tender evaluations, including reporting and analysis.
  • Support business units with contract management plans and periodic contract meetings.
  • Maintain effective supplier relationships and ensure stakeholder management.

About You:

  • Tertiary qualifications in a relevant management discipline or equivalent experience in procurement.
  • Good knowledge of competitive tendering best practices, Australian Standards, and contract law principles.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to produce informative reports.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Experience in procurement practices, including tender processes and contract management.
  • A keen eye for detail and excellent time management skills.
