Job Overview

Role Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering and maintaining the PeopleSoft Global Payroll (GP) and Human Capital Management (HCM) modules. This is an exciting opportunity to join a critical Defence team supporting enterprise HR and payroll systems.

Main Responsibilities
  • Support the delivery and maintenance of PeopleSoft GP and HCM modules;
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex payroll issues to ensure accurate fortnightly pay runs;
  • Provide configuration and end-user support within the PeopleSoft HCM/GP application;
  • Design and recommend system and payroll control enhancements aligned with business needs;
  • Engage with business and technical stakeholders to ensure effective solution delivery;
  • Contribute to ongoing knowledge sharing, mentoring, and training activities within the team.
Requirements
  • 5 years proven experience with PeopleSoft Global Payroll (v8 or v9) and HCM;
  • Strong understanding of Australian payroll legislation, including taxation and superannuation;
  • Advanced analytical and fault-finding skills within HRIS environments;
  • Proficient with PeopleTools and PeopleSoft Query;
  • Experience in system and software testing (UAT, defect resolution, regression);
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills;
  • Familiarity with Defence systems (PMKeyS, DSM, IEnterprise) is a plus;
  • Exposure to SAP SuccessFactors is desirable but not essential.
