Job Title: Mechanical Equipment Technician

We are seeking a skilled and safety-focused technician to join our maintenance team in the Hunter Region of NSW.

This role involves performing routine and complex labouring/manual tasks using various small plant and powered hand tools to assist with work activities.

The successful candidate will conduct thorough safety checks on all equipment used, complete basic maintenance tasks such as refuelling and checking fluids, and maintain accurate records and reports.

To be successful in this role, you will need to solve routine problems that arise, referring to standard guidelines and manuals, and collaborate with supervisors and managers to resolve complex issues.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Safely perform a range of duties to maintain and repair plant items, light and heavy vehicles, and mechanical equipment.
  • Conduct routine and complex labouring/manual tasks using small plant and powered hand tools.
  • Conduct thorough safety checks on equipment used, complete basic maintenance tasks, and maintain accurate records and reports.
  • Solve routine problems and collaborate with supervisors and managers to resolve complex issues.

Requirements:

  • Completed a relevant Mechanical trade qualification.
  • Experience working with Heavy Vehicles is highly regarded.
  • Hold a current Construction Industry White Card and a current unrestricted NSW Motor Vehicle driver's licence.
  • Medium Rigid (MR) or Heavy Rigid (HR) Driver's Licence viewed favourably.
  • Willingness to undertake legislated or internal licensing or ticketing requirements as directed.
