National Car Park Operations Manager

The Opportunity:

As the National Car Park Manager, you will play a pivotal role in driving the success of QIC's car park initiatives across QLD, NSW, ACT, and VIC. You will lead a high-performing team to deliver on exciting projects, ensuring QIC remains at the forefront of future technologies and improvements.

At QIC, we value flexibility and are open to considering candidates based in Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne, or Canberra.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute QIC's Car Park masterplan, ensuring alignment with our overall business objectives.
  2. Contract Management: Facilitate tenders, negotiate, and manage contracts and car park equipment upgrades with Car Park Managers and suppliers to ensure optimal performance and value.
  3. Team Management: Lead a Business Development Manager, serving as the primary liaison with our car park manager to address contractual matters and enhance client relationships.
  4. Project Oversight: Oversee project plans, including scheduling, budgeting, monitoring, and ensuring accountability of each stakeholder involved.
  5. Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with internal teams such as Centre Managers, Investment Managers, Legal, Tax, IT, Risk & Compliance to support car park and alternative income goals.
  6. Innovation & Research: Investigate and recommend future technologies and present findings to stakeholders.
  7. Budget Management: Prepare and present annual car park budgets and quarterly forecasts, tracking performance and implementing action plans for commercial success.
  8. Relationship Building: Foster positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders to influence commercial outcomes and enhance the guest experience.

Key Capabilities:

  1. Extensive experience in the car park industry.
  2. Proven leadership abilities, commercial negotiations, market analysis, and stakeholder management.
  3. Ability to devise and implement short, medium, and long-term strategies.
  4. Proficiency in preparing and managing expense budgets and related reports.
  5. High level of proficiency in MS Office Suite and PowerBI.
  6. A forward-thinking mindset dedicated to driving enhancement and fostering innovation.
