Job Summary

We're seeking an experienced Team Leader to join our Motor Claims team. As a Team Leader, you'll be responsible for providing day-to-day leadership and technical mentoring to your team, ensuring the delivery of a cost-effective, professional, and customer-focused claims service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the day-to-day operations of the Motor Claims team, ensuring seamless delivery of claims services.
  • Provide leadership and direction to the Motor Claims team, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
  • Assess present and future needs, trends, and problems for the business unit, identifying opportunities for growth and improvement.
  • Review staff performance and provide training and coaching where required, ensuring team members have the skills and knowledge needed to excel in their roles.
  • Build and develop strong working relationships with clients, ensuring their needs are met and exceeded.
  • Prepare management reports, providing insights and recommendations to drive business growth and improvement.
  • Set priorities and plan workload of the team, ensuring efficient use of resources and effective delivery of claims services.
  • Manage daily workflow to maintain client service standards, both internal and external.
  • Manage personal portfolio of claims, ensuring timely and effective resolution.
  • Provide escalation point to team members following complaints and/or technical queries.
  • Attend stakeholder meetings, conferences, and phone calls as required, representing GB - Global with professionalism and expertise.
Requirements
  • Seven (7) years of insurance experience, with at least three years of leading and/or mentoring experience.
  • Ability to build and develop business relationships with clients and service providers.
  • Ability to comply with relevant state legislation.
  • Insurance policy interpretation skills.
  • Stakeholder management.
  • Strong level of interpersonal skills.
  • Negotiation skills.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Commitment to quality and accuracy.
  • Tertiary qualifications in an appropriate discipline and/or demonstrated experience in a similar role.
  • ANZIIF Executive Certificate in General Insurance Claims or AQF Diploma of General Insurance or industry equivalent (desirable).
