Job Title:

Workplace Injury Resolution Specialist

At the heart of our organisation, we have a critical role that requires exceptional individuals to determine the acceptance or rejection of claims in accordance with legislation. This position demands technical knowledge, analytical and communication skills to drive business objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Listen attentively to stakeholders, considering Compliance, Medical Relationship, Employment Relationship, and Exclusionary Provisions when reviewing liability
  • Identify potential barriers and develop effective strategies for eligibility outcomes
  • Communicate decisions to employers and injured workers
  • Provide education on rights and responsibilities to Workers, Employer, and Treating Medical Practitioner
  • Deliver high-level service to achieve a positive, safe, and sustained return to work as early as possible in a high-pressure environment
  • Create new claims at time of registration via phone and ensure all relevant data and information is captured within the appropriate systems

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated resilience and ability to interact empathetically with people in vulnerable situations
  • Claims management experience and knowledge of relevant acts and legislative requirements
  • Understanding of the rights and responsibilities of people impacted by workplace injuries
  • Ability to make sound decisions, negotiate, and influence are essential to the success of this role
