Lead Software Developer

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Software Developer to join our team at Circular Economy Systems. As a key member of our software engineering team, you will be responsible for leading the development of innovative applications focused on financial and payment systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Contribute to technical and architectural discussions, and motivate yourself and others to achieve quality business outcomes.
- Collaborate with your teammates to bring a positive energy to our culture and drive business success.
- Lead and role model Agile ways of working, with a focus on hands-on delivery, including sprint preparation, planning, execution, and reporting.
- Partner with product and architecture teams during design and discovery phases to bring solutions into a diverse platform.
- Define interface and data requirements between various systems and build API solutions for microservices and data streaming services.
- Design and consult with architecture/platform and DevOps teams on technical deliveries.
- Lead, mentor, and motivate your team to achieve quality business outcomes in a collaborative and supportive environment.
- Provide BAU support as required, resolving production issues with major incidents.
About You:
- Degree in Computer Science or a related discipline.
- 3+ years' experience as a lead developer/technical lead, or similar role, with people leadership experience (i.e., direct reports).
- Experience leading a software team to deliver in an Agile framework, including conducting architectural/solution design discussions.
- 5+ years' experience as a Java developer (Java/Spring Boot, microservices architecture), with strong relational database experience (e.g., PostgreSQL/Oracle).
- 3+ years' experience in a public cloud provider (e.g., AWS, Oracle Cloud, Azure, or Google Cloud).
- Minimum 3 years' experience in front-end development and architecture, ideally with experience implementing ReactJs/NextJs, Node.JS.
- Strong experience with modern test automation frameworks and practices (e.g., BDD, TDD, Cucumber, Gherkin, JUnit).
- Strong experience in event-driven architectures (e.g., Kafka).
