Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Full Stack Engineer to join our team at Equifax. As a key member of our cross-functional squad, you will be responsible for designing, building, testing, and supporting applications that meet the highest standards of quality and reliability.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop high-quality, fit-for-purpose software consistent with Equifax's global engineering standards.
  • Work in an agile delivery environment to continuously deliver business value.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support international products and contribute to our major digital transformation journey.
  • Develop cloud-native software using Java and leverage emerging technologies to drive innovation.
  • Ensure the scalability, reliability, and performance of overall system architecture.
  • Apply established knowledge of software engineering principles, including OOP, Design Patterns, and Microservices architectures.
  • Stay up-to-date with modern software development tools, techniques, and frameworks.
  • Work with various database technologies, including SQL and NoSQL databases.
  • Implement DevOps and CI/CD practices and tools, such as Jenkins, Docker, and Kubernetes.
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders and contribute to a positive and inclusive team environment.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience as a Full Stack Engineer with Java skills, including Spring MVC and SpringBoot.
  • Experience with Angular JS (Frontend UI) is preferred.
  • Cloud-native software development skills in Java are strongly preferred, with a track record of learning other languages as required.
  • Established knowledge and understanding of key software engineering principles.
  • Strong experience with DevOps and CI/CD practices and tools.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proactive, self-starter, highly motivated, with a real passion for staying up-to-date and researching new methods of work and new technology.
  • Must have valid and unrestricted working rights in Australia.

What Sets You Apart

  • Commercial software engineering experience, preferably in a financial services enterprise or technology product company.
  • Experience in Angular JS (Frontend UI).
  • Cloud Certification (GCP/AWS/Azure).
  • Open-source or community project committer would be highly desirable.
  • Commercial experience with well-known Java libraries, Linux, and JVM tuning.
